The way to Saputara is very easily accessible. You can get to Saputara from Bombay by private tourists bus on alternate days from middle of March to middle of November. If your mode of transportation for the tour is car; be sure to be safe to refill it with petrol at Waghai (about 50 kilometers from Saputara) or at a petrol pump 40 kilometers from Nasik before you enter Saputara because in Saputara there are no petrol pumps. The nearest railway station is about 50 kilometers from Saputara which is Waghai. You can get trains for Nasik, Bilimora, Waghai, Valsadin narrow gauge section. The nearest railway station at Waghai is on the Billimora-Waghai section of the Western Railways. Recommended near by airports are in Surat and Mumbai, the nearest being Mumbai. Private jeeps can be hired from Ahwa. Organized tours outside and within Saputara are conducted in minibuses by the lodge Chitrakoot during peak seasons.
